CARING FOR YOUR
Iris Giclée
Limited Edition Prints On Canvas
Provisions
| You should treat your Giclée prints the same way you would treat a watercolor painting. The inks are water soluble, and therefore should be handled delicately. The print is finish coated with two layers of kamar varnish and mounted on foamcore. Framing the prints under glass is highly recommended. This should be done as quickly as possible in order to minimize the amount of handling and decrease the likelihood of damage. UV glass or other UV protectants are not necessary. The dye-based inks are not affected by UV light, but rather visible light. Your prints should be displayed as any other piece of art. The only consideration you may want to give is light intensity and in some extreme cases, humidity. The results below are based on testing the prints at 450 lux. 12 hrs/day. Prints which receive less light, should last longer, and more light, should fade sooner.
